I love being a translator and help people. I teach Russian to Americans and I teach English to Russians.
When assisting at interviews or business meetings, I provide my clients with the best knowledge I have on the subject along with referrals and contacts my clients may need. My clients can always rely on my help in the future.
I am very enthusiastic about languages. I have been working as a Russian teacher at the Beverly Hills Lingual Institute for years. I also have experience as a Summer Program Professor Assistant at the Slavic Languages & Literatures Department at UCLA. I have tutored Russian and ESL for Dizzy Entertainment.
I am a host of Russian Students Workshop meetings on Meetup platform.
For over 15 years, I have been teaching and privately tutoring Russian language to students of all levels (from beginner to advanced) and all ages (from 5 to 75). I am a positive and encouraging teacher and believe that bringing stimulating topics for class discussions teaches vocabulary to memory.
In my job at the Getty Center and the Getty Villa, I assist visitors of all cultural and demographic backgrounds daily. I use my interpreting skills on an everyday basis working with Russian speakers at the Getty Museum as a Visitor Service Associate.
I have worked as a Freelance Translator for many translating agencies. Also as a Subtitles Editor for SDI Media, translating subtitles for American movies into Russian. I have translated fiction books (recently for Author Services and Galaxy Press), websites (among many, for Starwood Preferred Guest), iPhone applications and movie captions (for instance, for National Geographic). I work on a permanent basis with several translating companies and pay very detailed attention to the nuances of languages.
I assisted as an Interpreter at business meetings and conferences, for instance, for SIGGRAPH and Virtual Reality Expo (as a simultaneous translator). All the skills that I have developed over the years will help me to contribute effectively to your bottom line.
I wrote a tour for a GPS-based iPhone application titled “Los Angeles Walking Tour for Russian Tourists”. I have worked as a tour guide for Adventure Club, Fun Tour and Urban Adventures.
