I'm a communication oriented person who already lived in Brazil, France and Spain and, therefore, I know how difficult it can be to move around when a language barrier pops up. I already worked as accompanying interpreter, as translator for academic work and also helping foreigners with bureaucratic affairs.
I am experienced in languages and I find different cultures exciting. After studying French in the Alliance Française, I have spent a year in France as college interchange student. There, I followed French courses for two months at the Cavilam Institute, a center of excellence. Later, while working as researcher for RCGI in a Shell Company project, I had to deliver biannual written and oral reports in English. In the aim of this project I presented my work in international conferences in Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Oxford and Marseille.
While in college, I worked as accompanying interpreter in my hometown, Belém, a city at the end of Amazon River, where there is almost no tourist oriented services and it can be very difficult to move around if you do not know the city nor speak Portuguese. Later, in São Paulo, during my Masters, I worked translating academic work from Portuguese, French and Spanish to English. Also, I helped foreigners with bureaucratic affairs such as renting places to live, opening bank account and enrolling interchange students on courses. Currently in Barcelona, I am still working in this field.
