I am an interpreter currently residing in the UAE with 10+ years of experience in consecutive, simultaneous, whisper, travel, and liaison types of interpretation. My main fields of expertise are aviation, international relations, general trade, commerce, and real estate. I hold a professional qualification in Foreign Languages (with Distinction) with a specialization in teaching and this academic background laid a strong foundation for my professional path as an interpreter. Prior to moving to the UAE, I gained a valuable experience as a Lecturer of English as a Foreign Language in my home city in Russia. There I developed a self-starting approach and effective communication skills including active listening and emphatic listening. Having been residing in the UAE for over 13 years by now, I have been extensively exposed to an extremely diverse cultural environment. As a result, I managed to develop strong intercultural competence as well as to refine my interpersonal communication skills. With over 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, specifically in the field of sales and procurement, I have expanded my competences to include negotiation skills and attention to detail. I have interacted with various aviation market parties across the globe (manufacturers, distributors, cargo/business airlines, MRO, 3PL) which gave me a deep insight not only into the aviation industry itself but also into the intersecting industries like transport and logistics, supply chain and procurement. All in all, my experience in interpretation is extensive and covers all interpretation types in different fields.
