Economist (Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations) and conference interpreter/translator (UN Language Training Course) by training with 40 year experience in interpretation/translation, 25 year experience in language training (specialized in teaching translation and interpretation), and extensive international exposure (translator at the United Nations Office in Geneva for 3.5 years, multiple short-term interpretation assignments with different international organizations, including 3 months at Vienna negotiations on conventional armaments).In 1993-1998, Chief Interpreter of the International Monetary Fund Senior Advisor to the State Tax Service of the Russian Federation. In 1998-1999, short-term Translator in Language Service of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. Since April 1999, free-lance conference interpreter based in Geneva working for different international agencies, e.g. UNOG, WHO, WIPO, IOM, ITU, ILO, UNESCO, IMF, EBRD, WTO, FAO, UNICEF, UNEP, WMO, EBU, CoE, NATO/PfP Marshall Center for Security Studies, FIFA, UEFA, and major international conferences and private market, including judicial bodies, in Switzerland and abroad. In 2006-2020, part-time teacher of conference interpreting (coordinator for the Russian language) at Faculté de Traduction et d’Interprétation (FTI) of Geneva University.
