I’m a professional conference interpreter, specializing in humanities, media, medicine, energy, insurance, architecture and construction, and legal business. I interpret in consecutive and simultaneous mode into Russian and German from English, German and Russian. I received an MA degree in conference interpreting from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS, California, USA) in May 2016. I also hold an MA in German studies from the FU Berlin (final grade 1,2). Professionally, interpreting and translation have played a major part in my work since 1995. Between 2005 and 2014, I was working in corporate communications with CEOs of Russian subsidiaries of multinational companies, providing support to their major international investment projects in Russia. My work included interpreting negotiations, press conferences, TV interviews as well as translating legal agreements, news articles, websites, marketing materials, speeches etc. In 2015, I re-focused my career on conference interpreting. Thanks to my academic and professional background, I have a sound understanding of Russian, European and American politics, culture and society. I understand the workings of business and media as well as nuances of intercultural communication. Due to my profound general knowledge and highly developed analytical skills I’m able to master any new subject in the shortest time.
