I am a multilingual Teaching, Content Production, Translation, and Debating professional with 5+ years of experience. My goal is to contribute to organizational success by offering proficiencies in fulfilling assigned language’s course objectives, finding sources to improve translated documents.
I am currently working as Teacher of Arabic (ESL) at University of Utah. I am responsible for designing courses to facilitate students’ learning. The application of my findings helps students remain on learning track. I worked as Arabic & French Linguist at Content Watch Company. I did R & D to translate English websites into Arabic & French by including idiomatic expressions. I classified websites for content translations for future software production. I had hands-on experience working with important software for translation like WordFast, MemoQ, and Transit NXT. My use of specialist dictionaries, thesaurus, internet, email, and reference books improved translation quality. I worked on sub-titles for foreign language Films & TV programs.
I worked as Debate Coach at Qatar Foundation where I improved debate courses offered by Qatar Debate, the University of Utah. I mentored students with interest in Debates to enable them to confidently participate in Daily Debate Competitions, individually & in groups. I also judged local & national debate competitions. I worked with coaches to develop current curriculum for the Debate Course. As Language Expert (Evaluator) at Defense Language Institute I created materials as per ACTFL standards for language testing in Language Institutes. I started my career as Foreign Language Instructor (Fulbright Program) to teach students predetermined materials. I assisted with cultural assimilation between American and Arab countries to create a program in that context.
