I may not have a dozen years of experience in consecutive oral interpretation under my belt, but do have more than 8 years' worth of experience in written translation. When translating a text, I am able to capture its style and atmosphere. I had been a freelance translator since 2008, years before I got my Master's diploma, but I wasn't satisfied with just being able to read in English and translate from English in one direction. I wanted to master both directions and perfect my skills. And I have, if I do say so myself. As it is now, I can proudly say that I have fast and reliable proofreading and translation skills. As for consecutive interpretation, I would like to get more experience in the field. It's not that I don't feel confident, I'm just eager to get more. Linguistic studies are my passion, and so is interpretation. Can you find a better interpreter, one who has more experience than me? Most definitely. I was all but apprenticed to one, so I know there are many. Can you procure the services of an interpreter who won't charge you as much? Sure.
