I possess MSc degree in Development Economics, BA degree in Development Administration and Diploma in English Language and literature. Moreover, I have attended essential trainings & workshops on a variety of important topics such as International Humanitarian Architecture, Project Cycle Management, Result Based Management, M&E
Currently I am working as Promotion and Market research division Head in Sheba Leather Industry P.L.C. with a responsibility to plan, organize and coordinate the entire marketing operations in the promotion, marketing research and information activities. Before joining my recent company I had been working in the Relief Society of Tigray as a social accountability Regional program coordinator funded by DFID, EU, Irish Aid and the World Bank. I have a progressive work experience of more than 18 years in a wide array of responsibilities and programmatic activities including education and training, gender and development programs, women empowerment programs, planning and budgeting and Strategic Planning and Management. I have also been playing a vital role working in programs supported by the UN agencies like UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, WFP, UNWOMEN and other NGOs like Irish Aid, and DVV international as a government partner.
My over 17 years’ experience, educational and training readiness backed me up with specific expertise skills that include management of programs (education, gender, women’s empowerment, governance and development programs) and human resource; planning and programing like developing strategic, annual and operational plans, designing project proposals, budgeting and grant management , capacity building and advocacy, M&E, result oriented reporting are among others.
Therefore, my experience compounded by my educational background has equipped me with the necessary mental and experiential qualities to assume more responsibilities in similar positions and discharge my duties diligently
