Member of the American Translators Association (ATA). I am a professional English-Spanish translator and interpreter since 2002. Some of my clients include the US Navy, the Department of Defense of the United States and the National Police of Peru.

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru and moved to the US when I was 21 years old. I went to university in Oklahoma City and eventually settled in Chicago, during most of those years, I worked as a translator and interpreter full time. As a translator, my main areas of work are technical translation and software localization. As an interpreter, my work is mostly technical (mining and industrial) and for non-profits. I am most comfortable doing simultaneous interpretation but I also do consecutive and liaison interpretation on a regular basis. Additionally to translation and interpretation, I also do linguistic consulting work for private companies, translation agencies and other colleagues. Some of this work consist on software training, linguistic assessment, terminology management, among others. My expertise in terminology management has allowed to consistently provide a quality product in my translation and interpreting projects.
