I have been working as an interpreter and an English language teacher for 13 years now.
I worked with NATO as both an English teacher and interpreter. I have also worked with the US Army and USAID as an interpreter.
. I became an ESL teacher in 2010 after I received my Teaching Certificate from a NATO Teacher Training center. (Defense Language Institute DLI/FLC). In 2014 I relocated to Turkey as an ESL teacher and started working with a chain of language schools (TEOL School of Languages). I obtained my CELTA Certificate in 2016 from Cambridge English in Turkey where I taught English to Native Turkish speakers and to speakers of other languages for 7 years. As a result, I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to students’ special needs, provides individual and whole group support, combined multicultural teaching techniques, and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.
One of the most effective ways to help ESL students is to develop and present understandable and inspiring lesson plans that facilitate all learning styles. I research, locate and integrate a variety of resources to accommodate students through visual, audio, and kinesthetic methods to ensure that each student understands and remembers concepts and language. My objective is to create and maintain an open, honest, communicative, and supportive learning environment in which each student feels safe, secure, unique, and adequately challenged.
