Since 2019, I’ve been working as a freelance and informal interpreter in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. My family travels often, and being the only fluent English speaker, I’ve taken the lead in navigating everything from airport check-ins and hotel bookings to legal documents and everyday conversations abroad. I’ve also supported classmates, professors, and friends in both academic and casual settings - translating, interpreting, and helping bridge communication gaps. I’ve spent most of the past decade living in the U.S., speaking English daily while staying closely connected to friends and family back home, so switching between languages and cultures comes naturally. While not formal employment, it’s been steady, hands-on experience that’s helped me build real confidence and skill in live interpreting and translation.
