I am a journalist working for the Turkish desk in an international news company. My duties are; to research and gather information from international sources, write text or produce videos in Turkish. I also do simultaneous translation for press conferences or other international events that we cover live on TV.

I have been living in the UK since 1993 and have completed my education in English since then. Turkish is my mother tongue and I feel as confident as a native in English. I have been working as a journalist for more than 10 years. My work requires me to translate information in English to Turkish and vice versa if I am lending a hand to English team. These could include long form text, live broadcast or video production. Outside of work, I help out close friends and relatives who are unable to speak in English.
