MA Conference Interpreting graduate recently re-located from the United Kingdom to Barcelona seeking interpreting opportunities. Since April of this year I have been employed full-time as a project manager for a translation company specialising in the translation of on and offline elearning courses and am hoping to undertake more interpreting assignments. I have experience of bi-directional Portuguese-English and Spanish-English experience at the Migrants Resource Centre in London, interpreting consecutively for migrants workers who have recently arrived in the UK. However, the core of my training while at London Metropolitan university focused on simultaneous interpretation from Spanish and Portuguese into English, and I was able to further develop my skills during work experience placements at the UN in Geneva and European Commission in Brussels. In addition to this, I was also honoured to interpret at the historical International Commission for the Cuban Five in London.
